~Cultivating rich soil of the soul to receive seeds of Truth~ |
According to studies, 70-80% of our daily thoughts are negative.
We listen to ourselves all day long, yet how seldom do we pay attention to our thoughts? How many of these thoughts are lies? And how many of these lies do we receive into our hearts and believe as truth? What we believe, we become. "As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is." ~Proverbs 23:7 In 2 Corinthians 10:5, God calls us to, "Take every thought captive under the obedience of Christ." Jesus said, "I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." ~John 14:6. We are to meditate on Truth, Life and Jesus Himself. If our thoughts are not full of the Promises of God, Truth and Life, then our thoughts are not enhancing our lives, they are actually bringing them harm. "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Out of the mouth comes blessings or curses." ~Matthew 12:34, James 3:10. Cultivating the soil of the soul requires that we work alongside with God, in order to recognize and then dig out the core root lies we have believed since childhood. Then, the Lord will reveal the wounded areas and begin to plow the soul's soil to bring those areas into His Light. As we sift through the debris, discarding what is not beneficial to our garden, we can begin to enhance the soil with the Living Word of God, through daily study and application. This will prepare us to receive and plant His seeds of Truth into our soul, in order to replace the lies. Our thoughts cannot be erased, they must be replaced. "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by renewing your mind." ~Romans 12:2 Through this process we will find freedom! "For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." ~2 Corinthians 3:17. The Lord reveals what is concealed and He will heal us. ~Luke 8:17, Exodus 15:26 God is in the restoration business. His Love restores our true identity, based solely on His unconditional love for us, not by our works. Through believing and receiving His Love, we can then begin to love ourselves, as He loves us. Not in a self-absorbed, entitled way, but rather from a humble position of gratitude and amazement that God deeply loves us, even in our imperfections. We are not to love our fallen nature, the Flesh, but we are to love who we are, as a new creation in Christ. This is the key to truly loving others as we love ourselves. "The greatest commandment is this: You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. The second commandment is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself." ~Mark 12:29-31 I have found one of the greatest rewards to be watching women and men develop deep and abiding, intimate relationships with Jesus, as they begins to blossom and transform into the person God created them to be. I will be an honored to walk alongside you on your garden path of inner healing, restoration of true identity, discovery of God's in comprehendible Love and your ultimate freedom in Christ Jesus. ~Nicole NOTE: TO NAVIGATE THIS SITE, THE THREE LINES IN THE TOP CORNER IS THE DROP DOWN BAR TO LOCATE OTHER PAGES.
